A typical day in the life of an Assistant General Manager may include:

  • Supervising daily restaurant operations to ensure compliance with KFC standards and policies.
  • Leading and managing a team, assisting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) with training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Managing inventory, upholding food safety protocols, and effectively addressing customer concerns.

Requirements:
What you bring to the table:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as an Assistant General Manager in the food service or retail sector, with Profit & Loss responsibilities, ideally in a quick-service restaurant (QSR) context.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability to close the restaurant at least two nights per week.
  • Capability to lift, carry, stack, push, or pull heavy objects; stand and walk consistently throughout shifts; navigate compact spaces safely; and operate restaurant equipment.

Assistant General Managers receive compensation that reflects their skills and experience. Specific compensation will vary based on location and other regulated factors, and will be discussed during the hiring process. The anticipated starting compensation ranges for new hires in this position across various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • All other locations: $12.00 to $22.00 per hour
  • State of Maryland: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
  • State of New York: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
  • New York City: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
  • Cincinnati, OH: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
  • Toledo, OH: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
