Housekeeper:

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall aesthetic of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas. Essential Functions:
- Arrive for shifts in a professionally presented, neat, and clean uniform
- Greet all guests warmly and positively, fostering personal connections to enhance their experience
- Anticipate and address guest needs and expectations, consistently exceeding their requests
- Maintain open communication with the Executive or Assistant Executive Housekeeper regarding early check-outs, late arrivals, and other room assignments
- Ensure housekeeping carts are stocked with necessary supplies and amenities throughout your shift
- Perform cleaning duties in accordance with Suburban Inns and Hilton standards, which include:
- Scrubbing floors, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and toilets
- Removing used guest amenities, linens, and waste
- Restocking amenities such as coffee, soap, and shampoo
- Making beds while inspecting for damaged or stained linens
- Dusting and cleaning furniture, decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (e.g., wall fixtures, windowsills, vents)
- Vacuuming bedrooms and hallways
- Completing additional tasks for hallways, storage, and other areas as assigned
- Returning room service trays to the break room and ensuring that roll-aways and cribs are returned with fresh linens to appropriate storage
- Transporting dirty laundry to the laundry facility, sorting it by type, and identifying stained linens separately
- Inspecting rooms for safety and reporting maintenance issues to the Executive or Assistant Executive Housekeeper
- Reporting special room conditions (e.g., damage, smoke, pets) and any missing or broken items
- Informing the Executive or Assistant Executive Housekeeper when rooms are cleaned, ensuring compliance with the standards set by Suburban Inns and Hilton while completing a minimum of two rooms per hour
- Assisting in maintaining organization within storage areas
- Upholding a positive attitude to foster team morale throughout your shift
- Adhering to all Suburban Inns processes and exhibiting consistent attendance
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Knowledge: Ability to interpret information and perform basic arithmetic functions. May require typing, basic computer skills, record keeping, or word processing abilities, along with effective communication skills.
- Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: None required.
- Licenses, Training, and/or Certifications: Hazcom Training and Bloodborne Pathogen Training to be completed upon hire.
