Job description:
Nino Salvaggio is seeking a Cafe Associate for our Troy location.

The ideal candidate will have responsibilities that include:

– Preparing and serving a variety of beverages such as coffee, tea, and smoothies to customers.
– Serving food items, including hot soups, baked goods, and pizza, and preparing them as necessary.
– Greet all customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous, and exceptional service.
– Processing customer transactions accurately using the cash register.
– Managing multi-line phone calls and transferring or routing them as needed.
– Maintaining an organized display and sufficient stock of coffee bar supplies, including beverages, condiments, utensils, and baked goods.
– Upholding a neat and professional appearance at all times.
– Handling damaged or spoiled products in accordance with department guidelines, while assisting in controlling inventory loss.
– Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee bar in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
– Reporting any safety concerns or equipment issues to management immediately.
– Assisting in the training of new associates as necessary.
– Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for this role include:

– A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not mandatory.
– Reliable transportation is essential.
– Previous experience in cash handling and customer service is required.
– Experience in a coffee bar or cafe setting is preferred.
– Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more.
