Responsibilities:
- Provide personal hygiene assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
- Assist clients in transferring and ambulating safely.
- Support clients with mobility both inside and outside the home, including transportation to appointments or recreational activities.
- Aid in personal care, meal planning and preparation, and assist with physical therapy exercises.
- Complete shopping tasks for clients or accompany them during their shopping.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual occurrences.
- Respond promptly and appropriately in emergency situations.
- Encourage and facilitate activities essential for daily living, including meal assistance when needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare or in-home care setting is preferred; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates without prior experience.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Willing to work in a one-on-one care setting and exhibit a desire to learn and improve continuously.
- Physical capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform job-related duties.
- Demonstrated ability to act with compassion and provide supportive care.
- Availability to work various shifts based on client needs.
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or Home Health Aide is beneficial, as is completion of a CNA or other healthcare program.
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Experience with Hoyer lifts is a plus.
