Banquet Cook:

  • Part-Time Position
  • 2nd Shift with occasional weekend availability (Saturday-Sunday)

As a Banquet Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food items necessary for all dining room orders and events while adhering to local health regulations and the standards set forth by the department and Suburban Inns. Essential Functions:

  • Arrive for work in a professional, neat, and clean uniform
  • Greet all guests in a friendly and positive manner; establish personal connections to ensure they feel valued
  • Anticipate and fulfill guest needs and expectations, consistently going the extra mile
  • Prepare all necessary items according to make sheets and recipes
  • Set up service units with all required items
  • Serve food items in line with established portion and presentation standards
  • Notify the Kitchen Manager of anticipated shortages
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas and equipment
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in ensuring kitchen security and safety
  • Set up, maintain, and break down the prep cook station
  • Requisition necessary items for menu preparation
  • Comply with local health and safety regulations
  • Maintain any logs required by health authorities
  • Properly cover, date, and store all reusable leftover products
  • Uphold the highest standards of sanitation

Position Requirements:

Tattoos deemed offensive based on sensitive characteristics must remain covered. This policy will be enforced by the position’s supervisor, regardless of protected characteristics. The Vice President of Operations may review and overturn any decisions made by the supervisor.
