Job description:
The Night Auditor is responsible for conducting a thorough audit of all accounts to ensure balance and accuracy while preparing final reports for management review. Serving as the front desk clerk during the third shift, this role is essential in maximizing room revenues and enhancing guest satisfaction in accordance with Veridea standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional and professional assistance to all guests, consistently going above and beyond to guarantee their satisfaction while upholding hotel standards.
2. Verify the accuracy of all charges to guest accounts made throughout the day and ensure that room charges are posted promptly, maintaining up-to-date and balanced accounts by 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
3. Complete all necessary credit card transmittals, direct bills, and no-show billings for the day.
4. Prepare daily, monthly, and yearly reports as required by the property.
5. Serve as the manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager or Manager of Guest Operations.
6. Register and process guests efficiently upon arrival and departure to ensure a seamless experience.
7. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of hotel services and facilities, as well as the local area, to assist guests effectively.
8. Employ sales techniques to promote the property, maximizing both occupancy rates and average room revenue.
9. Accurately receive and process telephone and walk-in reservations, ensuring guest satisfaction.
10. Address and resolve guest issues, complaints, or problems with diligence and professionalism.
11. Operate the telephone system competently in accordance with Veridea standards.
12. Implement all hotel safety and security protocols to create a secure and safe environment for both employees and guests.
13. Keep immediate supervisors informed of any significant problems or unusual matters that arise to facilitate prompt corrective actions.
14. Proactively seek additional responsibilities to enhance the overall operations of the hotel.
15. Set up daily breakfast preparations, ensuring readiness for the arrival of the breakfast attendant.
Qualifications:
