Job description:

We are currently seeking resumes for the position of Lead .NET Developer in Marysville, OH. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying VB.NET applications in accordance with established departmental standards.
  • Collaborating with customers to gather requirements and ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project needs.
  • Developing and executing testing scripts for new applications to ensure quality and performance.
  • Documenting applications in accordance with departmental standards to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintenance.
  • Monitoring and testing application performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Packaging applications in alignment with departmental guidelines.
  • Mentoring experienced developers who are new to the .NET framework.
  • Troubleshooting existing applications to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Engaging in solution design and development to meet business requirements.
  • Conducting application testing and monitoring to ensure operational integrity.
  • Interacting with customers and providing project status updates to keep all stakeholders informed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of .NET development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with customers while consistently developing high-quality code.
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, and performance testing VB.NET applications.
  • Established expertise in object-oriented application architecture, design, and development.
  • Experience integrating .NET applications with SQL Server 2000/2005 and DB2.
  • Solid experience in designing and developing .NET applications and services.
  • In-depth working knowledge of the .NET Framework and the Common Language Runtime (CLR).
  • Skill in the development and execution of SQL Server Stored Procedures.
  • Experience in converting VB6 applications to VB.NET.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts in business terminology.
  • Experience in using or developing applications for Windows CE.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition (3.0).
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
