Company: Delaware North
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $19.3 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $19.30 for a Line Cook position at Detroit Airport is generally competitive but may vary based on several factors, including experience, specific employer policies, and the cost of living in the area. As of late 2023, the average hourly wage for line cooks in Michigan typically ranges from $16 to $22, depending on the location and establishment type. Given that Detroit’s cost of living is moderate compared to other major cities, this rate falls within a reasonable range and may be considered attractive, especially for entry-level positions. However, it’s important to compare it with other local job postings and to consider potential benefits, working conditions, and opportunities for advancement when evaluating overall competitiveness.
