The Cook will play a vital role in delivering nutritious meal planning and food services for the youth at the Michigan Youth Treatment Center (MYTC). It is paramount that the Cook adheres to ServeSafe standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Responsibilities will include the preparation of meals for both youth and staff, planning and accommodating special dietary needs as necessary, and managing food orders while ensuring adherence to budget constraints. The Cook will apply best practices and comply with Department of Health guidelines for cleanliness, handling routine tasks that involve preparing meals for a moderate-sized group.
