We are urgently seeking qualified candidates for part-time Barista positions.

Location: Henry Ford Health Rochester Hospital, 1101 West University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Job Summary: The Barista is responsible for making and serving coffee and espresso beverages, along with related food and beverage items, while adhering to HACCP guidelines and maintaining high standards of food-service operations. A friendly, courteous interaction with customers and fellow employees is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve espresso drinks and items for customers and catering events using standardized recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and manage cash and card payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area while replenishing condiments, beverages, and inventory.
• Ensure proper food presentation, portion control, and adherence to HACCP standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
• Keep display areas clean and orderly throughout meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstations before transitioning to other tasks.
• Greet customers with courtesy and ensure their satisfaction, relaying any concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers promptly and efficiently, minimizing delays.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of menu items and communicate this to customers.
• Promote sales through effective communication and assist customers in their purchasing decisions.
• Present foods attractively and adhere to merchandising standards.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
