Responsibilities:

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support spaces as assigned, meeting or surpassing Sunrise’s quality standards.
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry.
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care upon request.
  • Collaborate with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promote Risk Management programs and policies while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Practice safety procedures consistently, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, and Lockout Tagout procedures.
  • Acknowledge that team members may be exposed to blood, body fluids, hazardous materials, and infectious diseases.
  • Actively participate as a team member, committed to achieving collective goals.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment that meets or exceeds Sunrise’s quality standards.
  • A genuine desire to work with seniors.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work semi-independently while following all community procedures and guidelines, with the initiative to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Capability to perform tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • For applicable roles, team members driving a Sunrise vehicle must review and sign the Driver job description, understanding the essential duties related to safety and regulatory compliance.
