Job Title: Cook

Company: Aimbridge Hospitality

Location: Portage, MI

Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a Cook in Portage, MI, is generally considered competitive, though it may be on the lower end depending on the specific culinary environment and responsibilities. According to various wage surveys and data from sources like the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average hourly wage for cooks in Michigan typically ranges from $15 to $20, with variations based on experience, establishment type (e.g., fast food vs. fine dining), and location within the state. Given the cost of living in Portage, this rate could attract entry-level cooks or those in relatively lower-paying establishments, but it may not entice more experienced cooks or those in higher-end roles who would expect higher compensation. Therefore, while $16 is suitable for entry-level positions, it may lack competitiveness when considering skilled professionals in the culinary field.
