Position Summary
Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within a well-established company boasting over 45 years of experience. As a new associate, you will participate in an interactive program lasting approximately 16 weeks, blending hands-on and computer-based training. The program encompasses various facets of account management, including:
- General Training & Comprehension: Acquire the skills needed to perform and teach the job functions of housekeepers, heavy housekeepers/floor technicians, and laundry workers, including the operation of industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development: Assist in staff training, quality control, and support in policy adherence in line with federal and state regulations.
- Policies & Procedures: Lead and guide teams to satisfy quality standards, maintain inventory levels, follow safety guidelines, and meet customer service expectations while aligning with current federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reporting: Train in maintaining records related to income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment to be submitted to HCSG and facility management.
- Training Responsibilities: Oversee staff training and quality control, conducting regular assessments of work quality.
- Managerial Duties: Build skills in payroll submission, staffing patterns, effective coaching, purchasing, inventory maintenance, and budgeting.
- Communication: Relay directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including the proper use of cleaning solutions and adherence to infection control policies.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality to fulfill all assigned duties promptly.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and interacting courteously with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
- Resident Relations: Maintain pleasant and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
- Exhibit a positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions and perform daily repetitive tasks.
- After completing training, demonstrate leadership skills to execute responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report completion, including web-based reporting.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local authorities, and clients.
- Capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling the same weight, as well as standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Must perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
- Comfort working around food and cleaning products is necessary.
- Residents within the service area are preferred.
