Job Summary:
We invite qualified candidates to apply for the position of Server. The primary responsibility of this role is to take customer food and drink orders, serve meals and beverages, prepare itemized checks, and, when necessary, accept payments. Additional duties may include escorting guests to their tables, serving customers at counters, setting up, clearing tables, and operating a cash register. Servers are also responsible for verifying patrons’ identification to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol purchases. Our ideal candidate will provide the highest quality service to all guests in an efficient and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with experience in a hotel or related field highly regarded.
- Must possess Alcohol Awareness Certification (compliance with state regulations required).
- Food Handler’s Certification is required (must comply with state regulations).
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated capability to evaluate and select appropriate courses of action swiftly and accurately.
- Aptitude for performing well in high-pressure and stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to foster safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Ensure compliance with certification requirements applicable to the position, including Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers safety training.
- Familiarize yourself with the organizational structure of the restaurant and lounge, along with an understanding of the functions of each position.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu offerings and daily specials.
- Deliver outstanding service to guests regarding all food and beverage needs in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables as required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
- Perform cashiering tasks, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
- Execute opening and closing procedures alongside side work duties according to designated station rotations.
- Ensure that tables and side stations are stocked, organized, and maintained in a clean state.
- Attend to additional tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
