Job Summary:
The Server is responsible for taking customers’ food and beverage orders, serving food and drinks, preparing itemized checks, and, at times, accepting payments. Additional responsibilities may include escorting guests to their tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables, or operating a cash register. The Server must verify the identification of patrons to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for purchasing alcohol. The role demands providing the highest quality of service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner.

- High school diploma or equivalent and/or relevant experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations).
- Food Handlers Certification (must comply with state regulations).
- Ability to clearly convey information and ideas.
- Proficient in evaluating and selecting among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and regulations at all times to support safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Comply with applicable certification requirements including Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, and Safety.
- Familiarize yourself with the organization’s structure of the restaurant and lounge, understanding the functions of each job position.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and daily specials.
- Provide guests with all food and beverage requests in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables as needed.
- Be proficient in the operation of the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system.
- Carry out cashier functions, including closing checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, as well as side work duties, in accordance with assigned station rotation.
- Ensure that tables and side stands are stocked, tidy, and clean.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
