Position Overview: Valet Attendant
As a Valet Attendant at MGM Resorts International, you will play a pivotal role in creating outstanding guest experiences by ensuring the safe and professional parking and retrieval of vehicles. By understanding and responding to our guests’ unique stories and needs, you will deliver “WOW” moments that they will cherish long after their visit.
Compensation: Starting rate of $15.54 per hour, plus tips.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all arriving guests warmly at the Valet Entrance, providing courteous and efficient valet parking services.
- Collect vehicle claim checks and promptly retrieve guests’ vehicles upon their departure.
- Provide assistance to guests requiring special accommodations.
- Report any issues or potential problems to security or your immediate supervisor to mitigate traffic congestion and delays at the valet entrance.
- Regulate the movement and flow of vehicles to maintain an orderly valet area.
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel registration, restaurants, events, activities, and attractions.
- Address guest concerns within the scope of your authority; escalate issues to the supervisor as necessary.
- Report any alleged thefts or missing items to your supervisor and/or hotel security for further investigation.
- Assist bell staff with luggage handling as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrates keen insight and awareness of individual needs, with the ability to manage all situations calmly and professionally.
- Proficient in computer software, including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as office equipment.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills to operate effectively under time constraints and meet established deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
- Exhibits effective listening skills and sound judgment.
- Familiarity with accommodation capacities and amenities is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills for effective communication with all business contacts.
