AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the competitiveness of the hourly rate for a “Cook (PT)” role in Ann Arbor, MI, it’s important to consider various factors such as local living costs, demand for food service workers, and industry standards. As of October 2023, the average hourly wage for cooks in Michigan generally ranges from $13 to $17, depending on factors like experience and establishment type. Ann Arbor, being a college town with a vibrant food scene, may offer slightly higher rates, particularly for part-time positions in busy restaurants or catering services. If the provided hourly rate falls within or above this range, it can be considered competitive; otherwise, it may not align well with local industry standards, particularly in a market driven by student populations and food service demand. Overall, to accurately assess competitiveness, a direct comparison with the specific offered rate and current job market listings would be necessary.
