Position Overview:

Are you tired of being confined to a desk? Do you prefer independent work and possess strong manual skills? If so, we have an ideal opportunity for you as a Service & Assembly Technician.

Join us in transforming furniture display areas at various retail locations, ensuring they consistently appear "showroom ready" for a prominent office supply company.

This is a part-time role with potential for additional assembly assignments, and hours may vary according to market demand, particularly in metropolitan areas where opportunities for extended hours may arise. Our technicians typically operate on weekdays between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the furniture department across different retail locations.
  • Execute in-store tasks including light dusting, vacuuming, making minor repairs to display items, completing assigned special projects, and managing inventory.
  • Adhere strictly to protocols ensuring the safety and integrity of all display items.
  • Provide a detailed report on the store kiosk following each service visit.
  • Arrange furniture to establish a customer-ready display.
  • Utilize planograms to ensure furnitures are organized properly and to identify any missing items.
  • Build and develop trust with store managers through a strong understanding of Apollo’s policies and procedures.
  • Carry out furniture assembly tasks as needed post-service visit.
  • Engage in projects at other retailers as requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation is essential, with the ability to travel between 30 to 60 miles to multiple store locations daily, depending on the market.
  • A basic toolset is required in certain markets.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and the Apollo management team (effective communication leads to more shift opportunities).
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
  • Availability to work between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday to Friday (flexibility to accept weekend and evening shifts is encouraged).
  • Proficiency in reading diagrams or instructions and in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
