POSITION SUMMARY
The role entails the execution of sold room reports, verification of room status, identification of discrepancies, prioritization of room cleaning, and updating the status of departing guest rooms. In collaboration with Housekeeping management, you will assist in overseeing daily activities and act as a liaison to facilitate coordination among Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments. You will document and resolve discrepancies in room statuses in conjunction with the Front Desk, prepare and allocate room assignments to Housekeeping staff, and monitor and update the list of ‘Do Not Disturb’ rooms. Additionally, you are responsible for ensuring that vacant dirty rooms are cleaned promptly, handling rush requests, and addressing rooms previously listed as ‘Do Not Disturb.’ You will complete all required Housekeeping documentation.
You will adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Participation in safety training and certification is mandatory. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance is essential, along with the confidentiality of proprietary information and the safeguarding of company assets. You will welcome and acknowledge all guests per company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs while expressing genuine appreciation. Furthermore, you are expected to uphold quality expectations and standards, foster positive working relationships, and support team objectives. Communication must be clear and professional, with accuracy and completeness in preparation and review of written documents. Proficiency in utilizing computers to access and enter work-related information is necessary. The role may require extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, as well as the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Additional responsibilities may include other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No prior supervisory experience required.
- License or Certification: Not applicable.
