Job description:
Nino Salvaggio is seeking a Party Planning Associate/Curbside Shopper for our Troy location.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the products and services outlined in Nino’s Party Planning Guide.
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu planning, including factors influencing menu choices, common food combinations, typical portion sizes, and the selection of ancillary items such as flowers, balloons, and rental equipment.
- Proficiently utilize Nino’s Party Planning Order Entry software.
- Oversee all aspects of PPG/Catering orders, ensuring accuracy and quality from initiation to fulfillment, including delivery coordination.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Floral, Wine, Bakery, Produce Prep, and Deli, to successfully execute customer orders and requests.
- Execute Fresh to Go services effectively, ensuring efficient shopping, bagging of groceries, and proper storage prior to delivery.
- Adhere to established protocols for communicating with customers regarding product substitutions.
- Deliver an exceptional Fresh to Go experience by ensuring order accuracy, on-time fulfillment, and prompt delivery.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, assisting customers with their orders, addressing inquiries, and offering suggestions as appropriate.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of products available across all departments, particularly Gourmet to Go.
- Replenish Party Planning Guides and supplemental materials throughout the store.
- Complete Responsible Alcohol Sales training and adhere to all relevant alcohol sales regulations, laws, and ordinances.
- Operate the cash register and process customer payments as needed.
- Stay organized by adhering to established systems for organization, filing, and cleaning tasks.
- Maintain professionalism and composure while multitasking and working under pressure.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, which may include assisting in other departments.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
- Prior experience in event planning is preferred.
- Experience in cash handling is advantageous.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Experience in sales and customer service is essential.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and goal orientation.
- Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Capability to multitask, maintain a positive outlook, and effectively problem-solve.
