Job Description: Business Development Representative
Reynolds and Reynolds is a leader in providing software solutions for automotive retailers, boasting the industry’s only comprehensive Retail Management System. Our innovative software offerings, coupled with our award-winning sales, service, and support, have established us as one of the most esteemed and recognized enterprises in the automotive sector. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Representative to market a specialized suite of complementary solutions to automotive dealerships within a designated territory.
In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting potential customers, demonstrating the features and advantages of our products, presenting proposals, and finalizing sales. Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the sale of Reynolds’ product offerings to automotive dealerships.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Gubagoo, GoMoto, ReconTRAC, AutoVision, and ReverseRisk solutions.
- Engage in travel as required, approximately 50% of the time.
- Participate in training sessions with experienced representatives, including field training, online courses, and classroom instruction at our headquarters in Dayton, OH.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong persuasive abilities and proven success in closing sales.
- Experience in new business sales is preferred.
- Background in the automotive industry (e.g., Sales Associate, Sales Manager, Internet Sales Manager, or F&I Manager) is an asset.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, up to 50%.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years.
