AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the competitiveness of the hourly rate for a “Wait Staff/Server” role in Jackson, MI, it’s essential to consider both local and national standards. Generally, wait staff in the U.S. earn between $10 to $15 per hour, not including tips, which can significantly increase overall compensation. In Jackson, MI, the average wage for servers typically falls within this range, often aligning closely with minimum wage laws and local cost of living adjustments. If the hourly rate in question is within or slightly above this range, it can be deemed competitive; however, if it is significantly lower, it may not attract high-quality candidates due to the financial pressures of the area. Additionally, considering the tipping culture in the service industry, overall earnings should be taken into account for a complete assessment.
