AI Pay Analysis: To assess the competitiveness of the hourly rate for an “Engineer-Preventative Maintenance” role in Pontiac, MI, it’s essential to consider the typical pay range for similar positions in the area and related industries. Generally, roles in engineering and maintenance in the Midwest, particularly in Michigan, can vary widely based on experience, education, and specific industry sector. As of my last data in October 2023, the average hourly rate for maintenance engineers ranged from approximately $25 to $45. If the offered rate falls within or above this range, it would be considered competitive. However, if it is significantly below, it may not attract qualified candidates.
