Position Summary:

The Consumer Lending Sales Specialist (CLSS) plays a vital role in our organization, emphasizing performance, customer focus, and compliance. This position is responsible for achieving individual and branch sales targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies. The CLSS will actively participate in meeting performance goals and will engage in marketing and collection initiatives, both internally and externally. Ideal candidates will possess a keen attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and a passion for sales and customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service, Sales, Marketing & Customer Acquisition:

  • Assist in achieving center performance metrics as outlined by management.
  • Utilize sales tools to cultivate an exceptional customer experience and boost customer acquisition both in-store and online.
  • Manage daily operations of a growing consumer loan portfolio, presenting tailored financial solutions to meet customer objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the loan process.
  • Educate customers on the terms and conditions of their loans to promote understanding and satisfaction.
  • Build trust through exceptional service that reflects our organizational philosophy and core values.
  • Implement community marketing initiatives to drive sales growth and document results.

Operations, Compliance & Collections:

  • Support management in meeting budgetary goals by managing the P&L effectively.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain precise cash controls and ensure adherence to security protocols.
  • Accurately enter customer and transaction data into the point of sales system, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
  • Conduct collection calls and visits as necessary, adhering to approved practices.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Team & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with colleagues in a positive, team-oriented environment to enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in sales and/or customer service is required.
  • Preferred experience includes at least one year in sales, retail, banking, or collections.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to manage cash.
  • Professional verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Capacity to read, interpret, and apply complex information effectively.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate loan requirements clearly.
  • Comprehension of industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer programs necessary for processing transactions.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful scenarios.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), and engage in activities including walking, bending, and driving.
  • Access to insured, reliable transportation is required for fulfilling job responsibilities, including marketing and banking functions.
