The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. This position involves servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, which includes stocking cleaning carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities—all while adhering to company standards as well as safety and security protocols. Additionally, this role may involve performing ‘deep cleaning’ activities and engaging in preventative maintenance tasks within guest rooms.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in the hospitality industry or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail is required, as well as effective communication skills with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Capable of evaluating and selecting optimal courses of action swiftly and accurately.
  • Must thrive in high-pressure and stressful situations.

Responsibilities

  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, as scheduling will vary based on hotel needs.
  • Adhere to high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including the proper wearing of uniforms and name tags as per brand standards.
  • Comply consistently with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to foster safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Thoroughly clean and restock the requisite number of guest rooms during each shift.
  • Complete all pre-cleaning responsibilities, which include organizing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for housekeeping cart setup.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linens from guest rooms.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
  • May involve disassembling furniture or items in guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may encompass changing AC filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging closet sliding doors.
