Assisted Self Check Out

  • Demonstrates the ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers concurrently.
  • Proactively approaches and engages with customers to appropriately recommend products and services.
  • Provides warm greetings and assistance to multiple customers across various registers simultaneously.
  • Navigates the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure accurate transaction completions.
  • Expresses gratitude to customers for their business and encourages them to return to shop at Lowe’s.

Customer Service

  • Delivers exceptional customer service consistently by executing Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Proactively seeks out customer needs and assists with locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
  • Listens attentively and responds promptly to customer and employee inquiries, guiding them through the store and assisting with projects as necessary.
  • Shows genuine appreciation to customers for their patronage.

  • Ensures adherence to housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain organizational cleanliness throughout the store.
  • Maintains a safe working environment, which may involve conducting daily safety reviews, identifying hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates.
  • Follows all safety protocols relevant to job duties, including safe handling of top stock, reinstallation of safety devices, utilization of aisle blockers, securing equipment, and implementing safety measures.
  • Operates store equipment as necessary, depending on specific roles and department needs (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compactor baler).

Minimum Requirements

  • Less than one year of experience using a computer for entering, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • Less than one year of experience with common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • One to two years of retail experience as a cashier.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit card applications, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explanations of warranties and product features.
  • One to two years of experience as a head cashier.
  • One to two years of experience working in any department in a Lowe’s retail store.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees.
  • Less than one year of retail experience recognizing common signs of shoplifting (e.g., hidden merchandise, items under carts, switched price labels).
