As a caregiver, you will be an essential source of support, providing both joy and comfort to our elderly clients. We invite only serious applicants who are passionate about caring for the elderly. Our current client requires assistance from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize transfer assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand aids, gait belts, and slide boards.
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and walking.
• Monitor changes in clients’ health and collaborate with healthcare team members as necessary.
• Maintain a clean living environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
• Manage and clean devices such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
• Assess and communicate any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor promptly.
• Develop and implement engaging life enrichment activities.
• Follow the assigned schedule and assist residents with repositioning as needed.
• Transport clients to medical appointments or shopping as required.
• Complete all necessary documentation and charting.
• Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Adhere to all Homestead policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience.
• Experience with medication administration.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation with a maximum travel radius of 25 miles.
• Availability on weekends.
