Job Summary:

The Complimentary AM Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to guests within the complimentary breakfast area of the hotel. This individual must have a thorough understanding of hotel brand standards, guest expectations, and the unique characteristics of both the hotel and the surrounding local area.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to perform job functions with precision, speed, and attention to detail.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with relevant experience in a hotel or related field.
- Flexible availability to work varied schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages and successfully complete a responsible serving course, such as TIPs, as mandated by the property.
- Ability to obtain and present a Food Handler’s card as required by local city/county/state regulations.
- Skill in evaluating and selecting from alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Capacity to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
- Familiarity with hotel products and guest services.

- Greet and seat guests promptly at appropriate tables.

- Clear, clean, and reset tables and hotel spaces according to client requests or management instructions.
- Maintain well-stocked, organized, clean, and neat service areas, completing all side work at the end of each shift.
- Fulfill any special requests made by guests or provide suitable alternatives.
- Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and any special needs.
- Support all areas of beverage and food service as needed, including washing dishes (by hand and machine), restocking items, and maintaining cleanliness in service areas.
- Answer telephones according to established standards.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of room service order standards.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus and current specials across all applicable departments.
- Perform cashiering functions, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
- Execute opening and closing procedures and side work duties based on station rotation assignments.
- Provide information about the hotel, brand standards, guest expectations, and local attractions.
- Perform additional duties or attend meetings as requested by management.
- Engage with guests and colleagues, occasionally without supervision, while maintaining a high level of trust and responsibility.
