Job description:
GENERAL SUMMARY
– Schedule: Hours vary: Monday through Thursday from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
– Location: May require travel between Southfield and Novi locations.
– Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical environment.
– Greet patients and visitors, manage patient check-in and check-out processes, and obtain necessary documentation. Ensure accuracy in verifying and entering demographic information.
– Obtain and verify insurance authorizations/precertifications. Process medical record release requests and schedule or confirm patient appointments.
– Accurately enter, review, and submit charges for patient procedures and services on a daily basis. Collect co-payments and reconcile all daily reports and deposits for precision.
– Provide general office and clerical support to the assigned area.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
– High school diploma or equivalent, OR a minimum of one year of relevant cumulative job-specific experience required. Note: Professional licensure or certification may be considered in lieu of education or experience if applicable.
