Job Description
Job Title: Bartender, Detroit Airport
Company: Delaware North
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $12 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $12 for a Bartender position at Detroit Airport is below the typical industry standards for this role, particularly given the location and context. As of 2023, bartenders in Michigan, especially in high-traffic areas like airports, often earn higher wages due to the demands of customer service, experience, and the higher cost of living in urban areas. In many cases, bartenders in Detroit can expect to earn between $15 to $25 per hour, not including tips, which are a significant part of bartending income. Additionally, the Michigan minimum wage is set higher than $12, making this rate seem uncompetitive and potentially unsustainable for attracting quality staff in a hospitality-rich environment.
