As a Food Service Worker, your role will involve assisting with food preparation, portioning meals, and serving our valued customers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of food items for the day, ensuring proper dating of products.
  • Coordinate the setup and breakdown of designated stations as instructed by management.
  • Prepare and cook foods according to provided recipes and guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate portioning of food items during preparation and service.
  • Maintain daily temperature logs to ensure food safety standards.
  • Conduct sampling of all food items prior to serving to customers.
  • Notify management and remove any food items that do not meet quality standards.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists for work stations.
  • Welcome customers as they approach the serving line, providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Inquire about the quality of service received and address any customer complaints while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean work environment, including floors, work areas, and equipment.
  • Ensure all workspaces and serving utensils are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Accurately dispose of waste generated from the service line.
  • Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas as needed.
  • Participate in daily safety observations and report any hazards to management immediately.
  • Cross-train in various areas as required.
  • Work in concessions, catering, and special events as directed by management.
  • Complete tasks assigned by management on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Collaborate and guide team members on the serving line to ensure timely and effective customer service, requesting support for sanitation issues as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Serve Safe Certification is preferred.

  • Previous food service experience is advantageous.
  • Physical requirements include frequent lifting and transporting of hot food items.
  • Must be comfortable working in a kitchen setting that may involve heated equipment, steam, loud noises, chemicals, and other potential hazards.

This role may include physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Additionally, uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
