Position Summary

  • Laundry Worker: Responsible for the collection, sorting, and loading of soiled linens into washers and clean linens into dryers, folding clean linens, accurately counting and recording daily linen processing, delivering items to various units, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, including machines and tables.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety precautions by utilizing protective gear during all functions, safely mixing and using cleaning solutions, promptly reporting any equipment or product needs to a supervisor, and following established safety and quality guidelines.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and responsive communication via the paging system.
  • Customer Experience: Positively represent HCSG through courteous interaction with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Engage in pleasant and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions while performing routine tasks consistently.
  • After completing requisite training, capable of fulfilling responsibilities independently and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push or pull the same weight, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
