Job description:
We are seeking qualified candidates for immediate hiring in both full-time and part-time Housekeeper positions at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, located at 6071 West Outer Drive, Detroit, MI 48235. Please note that we only accept online applications.

The available schedules include both full-time and part-time hours, with varying days and hours, as well as rotating weekends. Availability during holidays is mandatory, and further details will be provided during the interview process.

While previous experience in hospital housekeeping is preferred, it is not a strict requirement.

In this role, you will perform essential light cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic and orderly environment in healthcare settings. Your responsibilities will include making beds, replenishing linens, and maintaining cleanliness in rooms and common areas.

Essential duties include:
– Delivering exceptional customer service with meticulous attention to detail.
– Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and polishing floors.
– Vacuuming carpets, rugs, and draperies.
– Shampoos for carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
– Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
– Cleaning metal fixtures and fittings.
– Managing trash disposal in a sanitary manner.
– Thoroughly cleaning wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
– Wiping down glass surfaces.
– Making up beds and changing linens as needed.
– Rearranging furniture according to standard layouts.
– Addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly.
– Responding efficiently to housekeeping issues such as spills or breakages.
– Collaborating with team members to achieve a professional work environment.
– Performing additional duties as assigned.
