Job description:
We are seeking skilled Machinists to join our Day and Night teams in Holland, MI. The Night shift operates from Sunday to Thursday, with start times between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to support our operations and collaborate with the Skilled Trades, Applications, Controls, and Mechanical Engineering teams in the design, construction, programming, and deployment of custom automated equipment and solutions. Key responsibilities include the setup and operation of 3-axis vertical machining centers.
The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC machining centers, with an emphasis on programming using CAM software. Candidates should be comfortable with high mix, low volume 2D and 3D milling of components ranging from simple to complex machined details.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools, primarily focusing on CNC vertical mills (Mazak, Hurco).
- Read and interpret blueprints to machine metallic and non-metallic parts according to specified tolerances.
- Import CAD data and utilize FeatureCAM software for programming CNC machining centers.
- Calculate feeds and speeds, making adjustments to optimize processing conditions.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Effectively communicate potential quality issues with management.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 2 years of prior machining experience or completion of vocational school.
- Journeyman machinist certification is advantageous but not required.
