Job description:
GENERAL SUMMARY

– Provide exceptional customer service by delivering administrative and clerical support to patients and clients within a medical environment.
– Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process while collecting necessary documentation and verifying demographic information.
– Obtain and confirm insurance authorizations and precertifications. Process medical record release requests and proficiently schedule and confirm patient appointments.
– Accurately enter, review, and submit charges for patient procedures and services on a daily basis, while collecting co-payments and reconciling all daily reports and deposits to ensure accuracy.
– Offer comprehensive general office and clerical support to the designated area.

Location: 1096 Belsay Road, Burton, Michigan
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Wednesday – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM; Friday – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Preferred skills include a solid understanding of Primary Care Provider and Specialist referrals, appointment scheduling, and the process of obtaining prior authorizations for diagnostic testing.
Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting is required.

– A high school diploma or equivalent, OR one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience is required.
