Job description:

Nino Salvaggio is seeking a Party Planning Associate/Curbside Shopper for our Troy location.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the products and services featured in Nino’s Party Planning Guide.
• Demonstrate an understanding of menu planning, encompassing factors that influence menu selections, common food pairings, typical portion sizes, required quantities, wine pairings, and the inclusion of ancillary items such as flowers and balloons, as well as rental or food preparation equipment.
• Efficiently utilize Nino’s Party Planning Order Entry software.
• Ensure comprehensive follow-through on all PPG/Catering orders, overseeing their accurate execution from inception to completion, including order accuracy, quality assurance, and delivery coordination.
• Collaborate with various supporting departments, including Floral, Wine, Bakery, Produce Prep, and Deli, to fulfill customer orders and requests.
• Execute Fresh to Go services effectively, including e-grocery processing, shopping, bagging, and proper storage until delivery.
• Adhere to protocols for informing customers regarding product substitutions.
• Deliver an exceptional Fresh to Go experience for customers, ensuring order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and prompt delivery.
• Provide high-quality customer service, assisting customers with their orders, addressing inquiries, and making recommendations when appropriate.
• Maintain familiarity with products in all departments, with a particular focus on Gourmet to Go.
• Regularly replenish Party Planning Guides and supplemental inserts throughout the store.
• Attend and successfully complete the Responsible Alcohol Sales training class, adhering to all established alcohol sales guidelines, laws, and ordinances.
• Operate the cash register and handle customer payments as required.
• Stay organized at all times by following established organizational systems, filing protocols, and any cleaning tasks as necessary.
• Maintain professionalism and composure while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including support in other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Previous experience in event planning is preferred.
• Cash handling experience is essential.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Experience in sales and customer service is desirable.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with a focus on detail orientation, goal orientation, and follow-through.
• A positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to regularly bend, lift, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Capability to multitask while maintaining a positive demeanor and effective problem-solving skills.
