As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in food preparation, portioning meals, and serving our valued customers. Under the supervision of your manager, you will gain hands-on experience and build meaningful relationships with the individuals we serve. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of food items for daily service, including proper dating of products.
  • Coordinate the setup and breakdown of stations as designated by management.
  • Prepare foods in accordance with recipes and specific instructions.
  • Ensure accurate portion control when preparing and serving items.
  • Maintain daily temperature logs for food safety.
  • Conduct sampling of all food items prior to customer service, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Notify management and remove any food items that do not meet quality expectations.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists for designated stations.
  • Welcome customers as they approach and depart from the serving line.
  • Solicit feedback regarding service quality and address any customer complaints with a positive demeanor.
  • Assist in the upkeep of a clean work station, including floors, work areas, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Ensure all work areas and serving utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Manage the responsible disposal of waste from the service line.
  • Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas manually or via cart.
  • Participate in daily safety observations and immediately report any hazards to management.
  • Cross-train in various areas as needed to support team operations.
  • Be prepared to assist in concessions, catering, and special events as directed by your manager.
  • Undertake additional tasks as requested by your manager, whether on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Lead and advise team members on the service line to ensure timely and effective customer service, calling for support from utility workers for sanitation issues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior food service experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and transport hot food items.
  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment and engage with heated equipment, steam, noise, chemicals, and other potentially hazardous conditions.
  • This position may involve physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and sustained walking or standing. Additionally, it may require the use of uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
