In this role, you will be responsible for planning and leading daily programs and special events that enrich residents’ lifestyles while emphasizing the positive aspects of life within a Senior Lifestyle Community.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director and may involve supervising additional staff members.
Responsibilities include:
– Cultivating a vibrant work environment that celebrates the lives of our residents.
– Designing and facilitating engaging daily programs within the community.
– Creating opportunities for team members from various departments to contribute to and lead programs.
– Planning and executing special events for residents in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams.
– Recognizing and honoring the individuality, diversity, and spirituality of all residents when strategizing programs, events, and holiday celebrations.
– Building rapport with residents to foster participation in community programs and events.
– Understanding and promoting the Senior Lifestyle Corporation (SLC) wellness model by providing programming opportunities across seven wellness areas: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental.
– Developing and distributing a monthly events calendar and newsletter that adhere to SLC program and brand standards by the first of each month.
– Organizing and leading outings beyond the community to connect residents with the broader community.
– Establishing partnerships both within and outside the community to enhance programming and event offerings.
– Actively promoting the community lifestyle through a robust social media presence and collaboration with sales and marketing.
– Overseeing the resident ambassador program.
– Assisting in the preparation and setup of seasonal and holiday decorations within the community.
– Ensuring program flyers, bulletin boards, and digital signage remain current and in compliance with SLC and brand standards.
– Performing responsibilities with a commitment to preserving each resident’s dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
– Managing the hiring, training, development, and mentoring of department employees in line with Senior Lifestyle Corporation Human Resources guidelines.
– Securing and maintaining all departmental equipment and supplies.
– Managing department budgets and expenses effectively.
– Documenting and maintaining all necessary records to efficiently oversee departmental operations.
Qualifications:
– Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; alternatively, one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
– Experience: Entry-level (0-3+ years) with experience leading small or large group events.
– Language Proficiency: Adequate fluency in English to perform job functions and communicate effectively.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, online learning platforms, and social media.

– Demonstrates a willingness to embrace new approaches and experiences.
