Our dedicated team of tree trimmers and climbers is searching for motivated individuals who are eager to work in diverse weather conditions, including wind, rain, sunshine, and snow. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Trim and/or remove trees, branches, and trunk sections.
  • Operate and maintain all necessary tools and equipment.
  • Cut and split large debris into manageable pieces.
  • Utilize equipment to spray areas for growth prevention.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Feed brush and debris into a woodchipper.
  • Repair minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and pathways.
  • Service gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools and other equipment.
  • Relay hand signals, direct traffic, and operate trucks and equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and work areas.
  • Ensure safety for employees and the public in and around work zones.
  • Collaborate with local authorities when blocking streets or driveways.
  • Set up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc., to protect employees and the public.
  • Be trained to perform tree and bucket rescues.
  • Assist in the training of new employees.
  • Take responsibility for inspecting and ensuring proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment.
  • Request repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on trucks and at work locations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work with hands elevated for prolonged periods.
  • Capability to walk, climb, and work from ladders or at various heights on uneven and slippery surfaces while performing physically and mentally demanding tasks under various weather conditions.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Entry-level position; no experience necessary.
  • Previous experience is an advantage.

Pre-Screen:

  • Candidates may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or Motor Vehicle Record check upon offer.

License & Certifications:

  • A Driver’s License is preferred but not required.

Safety:
Given the inherently hazardous nature of the industry and the requirement to work with or around dangerous equipment, employees must possess adequate eyesight for distance judgment and coordination of tools, maintain focus for extended periods, and withstand various weather conditions while fulfilling work assignments. Employees should also be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary and should have the stamina to traverse different terrains while performing job duties during standard 8- or 10-hour shifts. Effective communication skills, the ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal instructions, and professional conflict resolution skills are necessary.
