Job Summary:
In this role, you will process member purchases with courtesy and professionalism, which includes verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering various membership products, scanning merchandise, and accepting multiple forms of payment. Your focus will be on providing outstanding member service efficiently and productively while maintaining the cleanliness of the front-line department.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of all BJ’s membership options, highlighting the significance of renewals and upgrades to our BJ’s Loyalty programs
• Offer appropriate membership products, including renewals, EASY renewal options, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
• Provide high-quality customer service, checking out members promptly and efficiently
• Scan all merchandise via a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and purchase totals
• Process payments through cash, check, or other charge methods
• Issue receipts or change to members as needed
• Remain informed about merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product details, including redeeming coupons
• Maintain cleanliness in the front-line area and assist with general club housekeeping as needed
• Return resalable merchandise to the sales floor
• Oversee self-checkout and scan-and-pan lanes, assisting members with technical issues
• Meet productivity expectations for cashiers
