Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Sterling Heights is seeking a dedicated full-time Resident Caregiver. The Resident Caregiver plays a vital role in supporting residents across various facets of daily living as outlined in their individualized service plans. Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with food service, maintaining housekeeping and laundry standards, managing behaviors, facilitating socialization, organizing activities, and addressing residents’ orientation and informational needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and a high level of professionalism, as it involves continuous interaction with residents and their families, ensuring their satisfaction and well-being.

Job Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma (Springhouse) or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village).
- Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience: Prior experience working with the elderly is required; experience with dementia care is preferred.
- License/Certification: Certification as mandated by state regulations; successful completion of the required training from Springhouse/Arden Courts is necessary.
Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods. Candidates must be capable of pushing and pulling objects and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis. Full use of hands, arms, and legs is essential for tasks such as washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning. Additionally, the ability to read thermometers, charts, and operating various appliances is required, along with maintaining good physical and mental health.
