Job description:

A Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and appeal. This position involves daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, restocking carts with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, the Housekeeper may be tasked with performing ‘deep cleaning’ activities within guest rooms and assisting with preventative maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred; experience in a hotel or similar environment is also advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members, both verbally and in writing, are essential.
  • Must possess the capability to articulate information and ideas clearly.
  • Quick and accurate evaluation and selection of appropriate courses of action are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner at all times.
  • Maintain regular attendance as per Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with scheduling that may vary based on hotel needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming by wearing the proper uniform and name tag while on duty (as per brand standards).
  • Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations at all times to promote safe and effective hotel operations.
  • Clean and restock the designated number of guest rooms each shift.
  • Fulfill all pre-cleaning duties, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens for the housekeeping cart.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linens from guest rooms.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
  • May be responsible for disassembling furniture or items in guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
  • Deep cleaning tasks may involve changing air conditioning filters, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
