Objective/Summary:
You will oversee the entire food service program at your assigned College Fresh account, directly reflecting the vision and goals of providing fresh, made-from-scratch food along with exemplary customer service.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Culinary Arts degree and/or a minimum of two years of catering experience, with a demonstrated proficiency in food preparation, kitchen management, menu planning, organization, and leadership.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Servsafe Food Protection Manager certificate or an equivalent from a nationally recognized or approved certification program.
Essential Functions:
- Order, stock, prepare, and serve food to residents at the designated College Fresh account. Ensure all food is prepared according to the menu and maintain the kitchen and food service areas in compliance with public health guidelines and highest quality standards.
- Develop and post weekly menus, submitting them to the menu-sharing system in accordance with management directives.
- Manage the budget and organize invoices as directed by management.
- Keep complete and accurate records of all receipts for purchases made on the company VISA card using the company expense tracking system.
- Receive inventory, stock supplies, and adhere to all cleanliness and sanitation regulations as required by management, clients, and state/local laws.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing College Fresh in a professional manner while addressing client needs, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously.
- Assist the Regional Manager in the hiring and training of subordinate staff as needed.
- Prepare special event meals for occasions such as recruitment, homecoming, Dads Day, Moms Day, etc. as required.
- Perform routine tasks such as dishwashing, mopping, and garbage removal as necessary, especially in the absence of dedicated staff.
- Complete all other duties as assigned or agreed upon with the Regional Manager.
Work Location/Environment:
This position operates within a kitchen environment equipped with ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and chef’s knives. Employees may frequently encounter heat, steam, fire, and noise.
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described here represent those necessary for an employee to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.
- Employees may occasionally sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less.
- Prolonged periods of standing are required.
- The position necessitates the ability to follow both written and oral instructions and procedures.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current Servsafe Food Protection Manager certificate or equivalent from a nationally recognized or approved certification program.
- Compliance with the policies and procedures set forth in the College Fresh employee handbook is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to maintain proof of auto insurance as mandated by the company’s safe driver policy.
