Responsibilities
Project/Business Responsibilities:
- Manage the Service P&L for assigned branches.
- Forecast manpower needs effectively.
- Prioritize customer calls and advise dispatch accordingly.
- Ensure timely completion of customer requirements and calls.
- Adhere to customer protocols and approve work orders as necessary.
- Analyze dashboards and financial reports to take appropriate actions.
- Oversee the procurement of parts and supplies.
- Maintain clear communication with customers to meet their expectations.
- Address issues or problems that may affect customer satisfaction.
- Manage and maintain fleet, parts, and materials inventory while resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Foster and maintain long-term relationships with customers and subcontractors.
People Responsibilities:
- Communicate company direction clearly, set expectations, and hold the team accountable for results.
- Provide leadership to cultivate a collaborative team atmosphere and reward team accomplishments.
- Interview, select, and oversee the onboarding process for supervisors, team leads, and technicians.
- Ensure efficient scheduling and dispatching of technicians based on their skill sets, location, and call volume.
- Manage performance while providing training, coaching, and constructive feedback to Supervisors, Team Leads, and Technicians.
- Utilize metrics to drive accountability and performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Service policies and procedures, encompassing eSo, refrigerant tracking, time and attendance, etc.
- Promote the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safe behaviors, including driving safety guidelines for all employees.
- Guarantee that customer service and work quality meet customer expectations and Source standards.
Qualifications
Project/Business Management:
- High school diploma, GED, completion of a trade program, or technical school; a college degree is a plus.
- Over 10 years of experience in refrigeration/HVAC service, commercial construction, or a related field.
- Familiarity with commercial refrigeration and HVAC principles and practices, including service hour estimation, labor forecasting, and managing multiple disciplines within the area of responsibility.
- Proficient in understanding and managing P&L.
- Proven business acumen.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize effectively while multitasking.
- Ability to solve problems and make sound judgments.
- Excellent verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the capacity to proactively resolve customer concerns and build robust working relationships.
- Knowledge of job site safety practices and oversight of safe work activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal laws.
- Proficient in standard business tools including email, Word, Excel, work order/dispatch software, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Clean driving record.
People Management:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in people management.
- Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated experience managing a diverse, multi-disciplinary workforce.
- Expertise in coaching, training, and developing a cohesive team.
- Adept at managing time, delegating tasks, and following through to ensure positive outcomes.
