Position Summary
As a Kitchen Helper / Dietary Aide, you will assist the Cook in meal preparation and service, ensuring that food is plated according to established guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen in compliance with health standards. You will also utilize protective gear and follow all safety precautions related to cleaning solutions and equipment, ensuring a sanitary environment at all times. Regular attendance and punctuality are expected, along with maintaining positive interactions with residents, staff, and clients.
Qualifications
- A positive attitude with the ability to follow both oral and written instructions, performing routine tasks consistently.
- Completion of all required training and the ability to work independently while ensuring safety and compliance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; specialized training in food service is desirable, and completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- Current ServSafe certification and Food Handler’s card are necessary.
- Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work times.
- Compliance with relevant COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Capability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Must reside within the service area.
