Job description:

Pay: $9 per hour

At Great Wolf Lodge, our Bartenders deliver friendly and attentive service to all guests, fostering a fun and safe atmosphere. In this role, you will craft cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, possess knowledge of commonly requested drinks, and provide recommendations to enhance guest experiences. Additionally, you will monitor inventory levels and take proactive measures to replenish stock as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and cocktails.
  • Prepare garnishes and mix drinks for guests following established recipes.
  • Assess customer needs and preferences, providing tailored recommendations.
  • Maintain an attractive and orderly bar area by organizing bottles and glassware.
  • Ensure that the bar area meets high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service quality.
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain draught beer equipment; connect couplings to beer barrels and faucets.
  • Ensure a safe and secure bar environment by enforcing alcohol consumption standards and complying with all legal regulations.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption, refusing service and/or arranging alternative transportation when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory by ordering, requisitioning, or restocking snacks, liquors, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages; replace kegs/beer barrels and prepare garnishes.
  • Enhance skills and knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and staying updated with industry trends; experiment with new cocktail recipes.
  • Perform cash-handling duties, including operation of point-of-sale (POS) systems and daily reporting.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be adaptable with scheduling based on business demands.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening is required.
