Job description:

Pay: $7 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting menus, recommending cocktails and appetizers, and addressing food preparation inquiries while accommodating special dietary needs and restrictions.
  • Record and relay orders to the bar and kitchen, ensuring accurate communication of patrons’ choices and special requests.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff by tracking meal progress and timing.
  • Serve food and beverages by efficiently picking up and delivering orders, along with any requested accompaniments.
  • Address additional patron needs by proactively inquiring and observing throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain table settings by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and ensuring water glasses are refilled while remaining attentive to spills and other special requests.
  • Process transactions by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or credit card slips to patrons.
  • Uphold sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control standards to protect both patrons and the establishment.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Completion of some High School education or equivalent
  • Fundamental mathematical skills relevant to cash handling
  • Flexibility in scheduling based on business demands, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful passing of a criminal background check and drug screening
