Job Description
Job Title: Barista
Company: Corewell Health
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $16 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $16 for a Barista in Grand Rapids, MI, is generally considered competitive but slightly below the average for the region. As of 2023, baristas in Michigan typically earn between $15 and $20 per hour, depending on factors such as experience, location, and the specific employer. While $16 is at the lower end of this range, it may be acceptable for entry-level positions or smaller establishments, especially if tips and additional benefits are factored in. However, with the rising costs of living and increased demand for skilled workers in the food service industry, offering a rate closer to the higher end of the spectrum could enhance recruitment and retention efforts.
