Job Title: Line Cook

Company: Homestead

Location: Royal Oak, MI

Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a Line Cook position in Royal Oak, MI, is generally considered on the lower end of the spectrum. The average wage for line cooks in Michigan typically ranges from $14 to $20 per hour, with some experienced cooks earning more, particularly in urban areas or high-end establishments. Factors such as local cost of living, demand for culinary workers, and the specific employer’s reputation can influence wages, but $16 may not be fully competitive, especially compared to larger metropolitan areas or those with a higher cost of living. Overall, while this rate may attract entry-level candidates, it may be less appealing for those with more experience or specialized skills.
