Job description:

Pay: $7 per hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu, recommending cocktails and appetizers, explaining chef specialties, identifying suitable wines, and addressing dietary restrictions.
  • Communicate orders to the bar and kitchen by accurately recording patrons’ selections and special requests.
  • Keep kitchen staff informed of meal progress to ensure timely service.
  • Serve meals by delivering ordered items and accompanying condiments from service bars as requested.
  • Address any additional patron needs by observing and inquiring throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain clean and organized table settings by removing used courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being attentive to spills and other needs.
  • Process payments by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payment, providing change or credit cards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Uphold safety and sanitation standards by adhering to established protocols.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

  • Some high school education or equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical skills applicable to cash handling, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Flexibility regarding scheduling based on business needs, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

  • Previous experience as a server.
  • Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) technology.
